New Fabric for Monday

Rose Pink Indian Paisley

Ive been waiting at the front door, for my new Rose Pink Paisley fabric to arrive, and hooray it arrived today.

Rose Pink on a pure white background home decorating fabric.

I know its pink again, but it just looks so good, the large paisleys are 20cms long, and hand blocked in India.

Im thinking Cushions and Wall Art in my bedroom with this or maybe even  a bed cover.
You can find this fabric in my store under Shabby Chic and Indian Cotton Fabric.

Marimekko Wall Art - Sunny Sunday

This is what sundays are made of - nippers first thing in the morning, a gynastics gala in the afternoon, and then the movies, what more can you do in a day i ask myself.

Well, our renovations have just started so im taking all my canvases off the wall and putting them away, so the dust doesnt get them.   Although if the electricians work is anything to go by, I think I might go into storage aswell......

My lovely Marimekko canvas in sunshine orange and yellow is going into storage upstairs, it will be so nice to get it back out in the new year and I will run up some bright new cushions in Mini Marimekko to match.

Heres to a good week of work, cleaning and sewing loads of cushions

My Favourtie Fabric from Amy Butler

Paradise Garden

This design by Amy Butler, is on my list as one of my abosolute favs.
These large scale bursts of flowers are the best.  The big flower at the top measures 20cms by 25cms and the whole flower and stem is abou 60cms, WOW - flowers on a grand scale.

Using this as a tablecloth will give your table that WOW factor and in wipeclean oilcloth too, what more could I ask for - maybe as wall art too............

Ive been awarded a Kreativ Blogger Award

Id like to thank the lovely  Silver Thread Designs for this award, im honoured.

Shabby Chic Roses & Milk Churns

Well I just couldnt resist these.  LOVE by Amy Butler, came out a few months back now, but had so many enquiries for some of her designs, that i bought some in and wow, I d like to keep them all for myself.

A few years back I was living in an old 17th centry cottage on the Warwickshire & Northamptonshire border in the midlands UK, i was the shabby chic queen, every room had roses in, from Cath Kidston & Laura Ashley, roses in the garden too.  I had pretty cafe style curtains at my windows in the old kitchen which was a delight and a 1970s gas fired AGA.  I collected the old fashioned  milk churns in those days and used them as bar stools, with pretty rose seat covers, mind you they were a bit tough on the bum!, nothing that a bit of padding couldnt put right!.

I still have the milk churns today, they travelled with us when we came to Australia, much to my husbands disbeleif. Unfortunately are going to be placed on ebay over the next coming months. We are having some renovations done to our new house, and the surfboards and boogie boards and bikes are taking preference.  Mind you i may well sneekily keep one at the bottom of the garden, just to remind me of those country days.

I have made up a Bundle of Fat Quarters of the 4 designs i have as well,  makes it a bit easier for choosing.

My old milk Churns

Im thinking i may make some covers for the tops before i sell them on.
Im off now to sew some cushions, have a great day sewing and quilting, or just reading.

The Winner - Hibiscus oilcloth

And the winner is....Blossy, thank you so much for entering my apron giveawy.

It is now winding its way to you, hope you love it.

Here are some gorgeous pics of my hibiscus oilcloth.  Im having one of these to cover my table at Christmas.

We spend Christmas day at the creek each year with friends and any visitors that may be our way and im fed up with the thin plastic ones getting caught in the wind.  So im treating myself.  I only need 2 metres and i will scollop the edge just to make it look a bit more fancy.

Im loving PVC tablecloths

Thanks for stopping by,
