She owns and operates her own design business aswell as running this forum, but secretly would rather work full time on the forum, as its such great fun.

Oilcloth - Eden in Midnight Blue

Hi, im back on track now, boys are back at school, the house is reasonably tidy, the dog is happy, the fridge is full, the laundry all done.  I can now work, for the whole day uninterrupted.  I think it will take me until the end of February to catch up with paperwork, sewing, marketing etc.  7 weeks off over christmas is definitely long enough out to work.   So here goes..............

Todays new fabric added to my store is this gorgeous midnight blue mexican oilcloth.  Its a little more chic and looks fantastic on the table.  Made from 91% pvc and 9% polyester/cotton backing it is ideal for outdoors, great for playmats and protecting the floor from food spills.

Its definitely my favourite of the week, and yes its oilcloth, so versatile and so easy to sew into aprons and bags.  Back soon with some more new fabrics.

A very Happy New Year to all my Friends and Followers

Santa, waved goodnight for the last time  at the weekend, until Dec 1st 2010.  We always find it sad taking hime down, its as if he is really alive.  Hes back in his box, recharging ready for another Christmas.

So on with this fabulous new year, wow 2010, should we all be flying around in small spaceships instead of cars, thats what i imagined when i was very young back in the ummmm early 70s, when 2010 was ever mentioned -  films like Logans Run and The Time machine, but here we are all doing basically the same as the last century. Except maybe the ipones and ipod touches, what great gizzmos they are, cant put them down and such time wasters too!!

Anyway on with the fabric issues, i have some fantastic new fabrics in store, Degas and Moulin, drapery, home furnishing, light upholstry weight, absolutely divine, Im having my dressmakers dummy - sally ann, recovered in the pink colourway.  All from Warwick Australia and loving the designs and colourways.  These designs are fromt he Bohemia Collection, very stylish.

Degas is a poppy design on a soft linen coloured background, the largest pooppy measuring 13cm

The Co-ordinating stripe is gorgeous too Moulin, the stripes are nice and wide at 33.5cm

Heres wishing you all a great January, and relaxing time with the Kiddies still off school, Im off to do some sewing today, as the family have gone off surfing for a couple of hours, and I need to sew something, maybe  make some new cushion covers who knows.
